Dalymount regeneration

Mary actively champions the regeneration of Phibsborough as a prime urban village at Dublin City Council.

When re-elected in May 2019 Mary secured the inclusion of redevelopment of Dalymount as an objective in the Dublin Agreement 2019-2024

Unfortunately its regeneration is largely dependent on the redevelopment of the shopping Center (in private ownership) and Dalymount Stadium owned by DCC.

At the May 2020 meeting of Dublin City Council Mary asked the Chief Executive to provide an update on the project. Click HERE to read the correspondence, but in summary DCC CEO confirmed the following:

  • DCC has been provisionally allocated approx. €1m toward the re-development of Dalymount Park.
  • The allocation is subject to satisfactory completion of an evaluation process, pending which further action is on hold.
  • The proposed budget for the entire project is approximately €35 million
  • DCC will continue to consult with the local community on its plans for this project.
