St. Finbar’s Court, Plans

In response to Mary’s representations DCC advised Mary that it has finalised design plans for new senior citizen housing on former site of St Finbars Court in Cabra West.

Dublin City Council intends applying for Part 8 Planning permission to build:

  • 46 units
  • 44 one bed dwellings, for 2 people
  • 2 two bed dwellings, for 3 people
  • a community room, community garden and parking.

The new €13m development will be two storey in height on St Finbars Road and four storey on Kilkiernan Road, built to the highest energy rating and universally accessible.

It is hoped permission will be granted by the summer 2020.  The tender to build will be awarded by Autumn 2020 and construction will commence January 2021 to be completed and occupied by Autumn 2022.
