As a democratic republican Mary Fitzpatrick believes all children are born equal and should enjoy equal opportunity. For many years Mary has actively supported the campaign for Educate Together primary and secondary schools in Dublin Central. Educate Together schools are open to all children, irrespective of their social, cultural or religious background. They are child-centered and focused on the best educational outcome for the child. the Department of Education will soon run a process to assess the preferences of parents in Cabra and Phibsborough. Educate Together is collecting “expressions of interest” forms from parents who want an Educate Together School in Cabra and Phibsborough. Japan
I was proud to represent the Oireachtas Committee for Enterprise, Tourism and employment on our recent delegation to Japan. For almost 70 years Ireland has enjoyed strong diplomatic relations with Japan. Ireland opened it’s first embassy in Tokyo in 1974 In 2025 Ireland renewed and strengthened its presence in Japan
