Save our local Post Office

MFAK1

Mary Fitzpatrick is contesting the next General Election to try and secure a fairer recovery for our community. As part of our economic and social recovery Mary believes in protecting and securing essential local community services and facilities such as schools, garda stations, local shops, hospitals and our Post Offices.  In Government Fine Gael and Labour have pursued policies that force people to use commercial banks.  Their policy will directly lead to Post Office closures which in turn leads to reduced economic activity locally, local business closures and loss of local employment.  Mary strongly supports local community resources and the Fianna Fáil policy commits to protect the existing post offices and guarantee their future by expanding their services and make Post Offices the central payments unit for all state payments and charges.  You can read the policy here.
