Save Dublin Central Post Offices

News reports of the proposed closing of 200 Post Offices around the country points to a shallow and cynical commitment given  by Fine Geal and Labour to save all Post Offices in the run up to the last General election.

Mary campaigned to save all Post Offices in Dublin Central because they provide an essential service to local residents, sustain local employment and support local business activity.  Mary remains committed to supporting the continued operation of the Post Office network in Dublin Central.  Mary calls on the Minister to consider Fianna Fáils policy designed to save and grow the Post Office network into the future.

Mary calls on the Minister for Communications to clarify the Governments intentions and to recommit the Government to saving our Post Offices.  Anything short of this will expose Fine Gael and Labour “promises” made in the run into the last General Elections as dishonest political trickery.
