The allure of status and cash from involvement in crime is attractive for more and more people in the absence of any other opportunities.

The North Inner City Taskforce is failing to address the fundamental issues and operating only at a very superficial level. Painting lamp posts is no substitute for an honest confrontation with the underlying problems.
