Climate Action Plan

Dublin City Council can play a lead role in helping Dublin contribute to addressing climate change.

Along with the Lord Mayor of Dublin City, Cllr Niall Ring, Mary welcomes Dublin City Council’s publication of their draft Climate Action Plan and their invite to the general public to have their say on the draft plan.

The City Council’s draft plan covers five key areas – Energy and Buildings, Transport, Flood Resilience, Nature-Based Solutions and Resource Management (waste and water).

Mary encourages everyone to review the draft plan and make their suggestions on how they think Dublin City Council can help address climate change.

If elected in the local elections of May 2019, to represent the Navan Road, Cabra, Phibsborough, Drumcondra and Glasnevin on Dublin City Council, Mary will champion local initiatives to raise awareness and address climate change.

Submissions to the draft plan are being accepted from the public until the 25th March, 2019.
