Phibsboro SC Re-development

As promised during the local election campaign, Mary submitted a motion to the first meeting of Dublin City Council calling for Dublin City Council, the developer, Tesco and Bohemians to meet with DCC and local City Councillors to resolve the dispute and agree a way forward.

The motion appeared on the agenda as follows:”The elected members of Dublin City Council note with disappointment the lack of progress with the redevelopment of Phibsborough Shopping Centre.  We call on the City Manager to invite the developers of the shopping center, Tesco, Dalymount Stadium and City Council Development office to meet and identify a solution to progress and commence redevelopment of this prime urban site without any further delay.”

Mary is seeking cross party support for the motion and already has secured the support of Green Party City Councillor Neasa Hourigan.
