As part of Dublin City Council’s “lets walk and talk” programme, on Tuesday 31st of May you can join historian Pat Liddy as he visits the sites that were bombed by the German Luftwaffe on the fateful night 70 years ago (May 1941) and get a taste of the horrors of World War ll in Dublin. I was proud to represent the Oireachtas Committee for Enterprise, Tourism and employment on our recent delegation to Japan. For almost 70 years Ireland has enjoyed strong diplomatic relations with Japan. Ireland opened it’s first embassy in Tokyo in 1974 In 2025 Ireland renewed and strengthened its presence in Japan
