Seanad Elections

I am delighted to have been nominated by Fianna Fail party leader Michael Martin to contest the upcoming Seanad election. Click HERE for the full announcement.

The Seanad Election is of great importance to our country and it is an honour to have been nominated to contest the Seanad election on the Administrative Panel. I am contesting the Seanad election to contribute to restoring the general public’s confidence in our Political System and to play my part in re-building our country. In the recent General Election all party and non-party representatives promised political reform. I support reform of the current political system to give it greater meaning and relevance to the Irish people. I believe my record of real life International business experience coupled with an on the ground participation in Irish political life will inform my contributions to economic and national debates.

The Seanad election is democratically voted upon by Councillors, TD’s and Senators across all political persuasions in every county in Ireland. Over the coming weeks I will canvass this constituency and make my case to the voters. I welcome any support you can give me in this election – I will not let you down.

Cllr Mary Fitzpatrick
