Moore Street

Mary welcomes the publication of the report from the Moore Street Expert Group on the future of street trading on Moore Street and calls for urgent implementation of its more than twenty recommendations.

Moore Street traders have put up with falling trade, increasing dereliction, neglect and anti-social activities for far too long.  In 2019 the then Minister for Heritage requested Dublin City Council for recommendations on the future of street trading on Moore Street.

In 2020 Mary was appointed chair of the expert group tasked with defining a vision for the future of street trading on Moore Street.  Over the course of eleven months, the expert group met nine times, conducted a public consultation, received 600 number of responses, consulted with street traders and other stakeholders.  You can read the report HERE

Mary has called on the Minister for Heritage to urgently act on the reports recommendations to protect and promote the street market on Moore Street.
