TII have informed Mary that the consultation period for the application for the Railway (MetroLink to Charlemont via Dublin Airport) Order [2022] has been extended from November 25th, 2022 to January 16th, 2023.
A number of constituents have asked Mary if the fee of €50 per submission applies for people living in close proximity (within 30m) of the proposed tunnel. Mary submitted a query on behalf of these concerned residents and was informed:
“Please note there is no waiver of the fee. Those objecting to the proposed development must pay a fee of €50.
If however they are landowners and are listed on the schedule for their land to be acquired, no fee is required. If they are in any doubt, I would advise that the fee is paid, the Board will check to see if they are on the schedule and if they are a refund will issue.”
