Dr Kathleen Lynn

Mary hosted the launch of the 1916 Relatives Association’s campaign to have the new National Children’s Hospital named after Dr Kathleen Lynn.

Speakers included author Martina Devlin, actress Kate O’Toole, Councillors Niall Ring & Mannix Flynn, Deputy General Secretary of SIPTU Ethel Buckley and Assistant General Secretary of Fórsa, Lisa Connell.

Naming the National Children’s Hospital after Dr Kathleen Lynn will pay tribute to her and ensure that her values of social justice and equality inform the National Children’s Hospital’s ethos and care into the future.

The campaign is supported by Fianna Fáil, SIPTU, Fórsa, the National Women’s Council, Labour and Sinn Féin. Mary is now calling on the Minster for Health and the Department to name the national children’s hospital after Dr Kathleen Lynn.
