Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire

Teachers, pupils and parents of Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire have waited patiently for far too long for their new fit-for-purpose school on Dominick Street. Over 20 years, the process was far too slow, but real progress was made in the past 2 years to obtain planning permission and to bring it to tender. The project is now shovel-ready.

Mary shares the bitter disappointment and frustration of children, teachers and parents that the project is now delayed by the Department of Public Expenditure. Mary has escalated the matter to the leader of Fianna Fáil and Tánaiste, Micheál Martin, the Minister for Education, the Minister for Public Expenditure and in the Seanad. Mary will continue to work on behalf of the school community to secure approval for the project to proceed and will inform them of any updates.
