Ballyboggan LAP

Dublin City Council are due to meet with landowners and stakeholers in the Dublin Industrial Estate in Glasnevin this month to get their input into the Ballyboggan Local Area Plan. The LAP will shape the mixed-use regeneration of this brownfield location.

Dublin City Council undertook a pre draft consultation for the LAP from April 2023 to May 2023. The objective of the LAP is to ensure that there is proper planning and sustainable development in the area. In November 2023, the Chief Executive’s report on the issue papers submissions was shared with Central Area Councillors. You can view the report HERE.

The LAP considers the potential for residential and economic redevelopment of the brownfield site and seeks to ensure that there is sustainable development at the location. The LAP will also seek to provide the opportunity for existing businesses to remain in the area and/or to relocate or cluster within the LAP lands where appropriate.

The aim is to finalise the local area plan for Ballyboggan this year.
