Call for Interns- Dublin City Council Arts Office Seeks Visual Art and Archive Interns 

Dublin City Council Arts Office is currently seeking interns for 2011. The internships are designed to extend the interns knowledge and understanding of how a Local Authority Arts Office works.
 Internships will have an opportunity to gain experience in the LAB Gallery and the Red Stables Artists Studios, which are Dublin City Council Arts buildings. Responsibilities may include updating databases, archiving, PR & marketing and general administrative duties for:
  • The LAB Gallery programme (assisting in planning and preparation of exhibitions, preparing for exhibition openings, exhibition installation, liaising with artists etc)
  • The Red Stables Artists Studios programme
  • The Public Art Programme
  • Neighbourhood Arts Programme.
Dublin City Council Arts Office is therefore interested in working with:
  • Art graduates
  • Archivists
  • Administrators
There may also be an opportunity to develop a personal project to your own interest that will be of benefit to the arts office.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship and is open to both graduates and professionals. Internships are available for three to six month duration with a minimum commitment of 3 days a week. To apply, simply send a CV including at least two referees and cover letter explaining why you are interested in the position, what areas you are specifically interested in.
