At the December meeting of the Central Area Committee I again raised the issue of the need for an upgrade to the facilities at Broombridge train station. I proposed a motion stating “The elected members of the Central Area Committee call on Irish Rail to outline what measures it has put in place to ensure public safety on the Maynooth line and to upgrade Broombridge Train station by providing improved public lighting, security cameras, shelter, customer information, non-slip surface on the platforms and security”.
