Corpus Christi Church

Mary has been updated by Dublin City Council that further to her nomination form, that Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Glasnevin, has been added to the Conservation Section’s list of nominations to the Record of Protected Structures (RPS).  The current priority for the Section in relation to the RPS is the processing of more than 150 proposed additions and amendments to the RPS under the Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028.  This work was initiated back in 2020 and so does not include Corpus Christi Church, Glasnevin.

However, the Draft Development Plan includes an objective to undertake a study of Griffith Avenue, its environs and Glasnevin Village for the purpose of considering appropriate conservation mechanisms for late 19th and early 20th century housing. This study will also include an assessment of associated community and social infrastructure of architectural interest, such as Corpus Christi Church at Home Farm Road.
