Dalymount Development Update

In 2015 Mary supported Dublin City Council buying Dalymount Park to save this historic football stadium.

In 2019 the then Government approved funding for Dublin City Council to appoint a design team to prepare redevelopment design plans.

Dublin City Council currently aims to make an application for planning in May 2023 and hopes to commence work in 2024.

The pace of progress is very disappointing.

Mary arranged a meeting with Dublin City Council and Bohemians to discuss the project.  Minister for Sport Jack Chambers and Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe attended and both Ministers confirmed Government’s continuing commitment to the redevelopment of Dalymount.

Mary urged Dublin City Council to make a planning application as soon as possible so the redevelopment can commence without further delays.

Dalymount is part of our history, culture and heritage.

It is shameful to see it so neglected. Dalymount must be redeveloped so it can be a substantial part of our future.
