Dalymount Stadium

DalymountDublin City Council recently purchased Dalymount Park in Phibsborough and commissioned an initial feasibility study on possible future options for redevelopment of the stadium, click here for a copy of the study.  A redevelopment plan will be required before any work commences and that is dependent on DCC getting Government funding.   DCC has committed to engaging with the local community and all other relevant stakeholders when preparing a full redevelopment plan.  Redevelopment of the stadium and shopping center are critically important for the local community and the wider city.  Phibsborough is a prime urban location less than 3km from O’Connell Street which through neglect has deteriorated and become run down over the last five years.  It is a hugely undervalued and underdeveloped part of our capital city with a uniquely creative community.  It is imperative that the next Government gives priority to regeneration of this prime urban community by providing appropriate supports and incentives for sustainable quality development and actively tackles delinquent property owners.
