Family Leave Bill 2021

Mary supports Governments Family Leave Bill 2021 that will increase both parents leave from two to five weeks, give adoptive leave to same sex married male parents and strengthen Tusla by increasing their Board membership.

Having a child is the most life changing thing any person can do.  As a mother and republican Mary believes every child should have the best possible start in life and Government must support parents to provide that.

The Family Leave Bill 2021 delivers on key Fianna Fáil promise in government to support young families, same sex couples and strengthen child protection.

It is hoped all parties will support the bill and parents of children born after November 2019 will be able to avail of the extra paid parents leave from April 2021.
