The Free Travel Scheme is extended to people who have never been able to drive due to a disability and to driving license holders certified as medically unfit to drive for a period of 12 months or longer.
Those eligible can access free travel on all public transport provided by the State.
This will provide more independece to those with a disability to go about their lives free from additional transport costs and stress.
