Fruit & Vegetable Market

Since securing funding to re-open the Dublin 7 Fruit & Vegetable Market as part of the €120 Million Urban Regeneration funding for the North Inner City the pace of progress has been disappointing.

Mary has addressed this with the Minister & Dublin City Council.

Mary is working to get the Dublin 7 Fruit & Vegetable Market re-opened as soon as possible.

The Market has huge potential not just as a market for fresh produce but also as a cultural and social hub for the local and wider city community.

Dublin City Council have invited tenders for conservation of the building. It expects to award the winning tender before year end.

Mary has asked Dublin City Council to facilitate (meanwhile) use pending full re-opening of the market.
