Gateway to the City

On Sunday 29th September Mary was delighted to deputise for the Lord Mayor of Dublin City at Dublin Cities brand new street festival “Gateway to the City” which showcased the history, culture and delicious food that Dorset Street, Blessington Street and environs has to offer. The event was organised by Dorset Street Together with the support of Dublin City Council.

“Gateway to the City” was an exciting event from start to finish, with a wide range of activities for patrons of all ages!  There were historical exhibitions and talks running throughout the day, a petting zoo with lots of little furry friends, a beautiful vintage carousel, a wide range of market stalls, face painting and much, much more!

Locals and visitors enjoyed delicious food from local businesses, as well as tasty treats from the many food stalls at the event.  A great selection of talented buskers performed on Dorset Street throughout the day, as well a main stage on Blessington Street.  Well done to all involved!
