Leaving Cert 2021 Update

I raised Leaving Cert Students concerns at the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party meeting again last night with Minister for Education Norma Foley who is acutely aware of the stress on students and their parents.  She is working with the Leaving Cert Advisory Group which includes teachers, unions,  student and parents representatives to find the best solution for Leaving Cert and Junior Cert class of ’21.

She appreciates the extra anxiety caused by the uncertainty and is working hard to achieve certainty for students in what are ever changing times.  In the meantime the State Examinations Commission have made a number of changes in relation to the submitting of practical work for subjects like Design and Computer Graphics which mean that every student will have an additional eight days after schools return to submit their work.

I hope this helps ease the pressure for students.  For more information please click here

Following on from Mary’s representations to Minister Foley on behalf of the class of 2021 asking that students be given the option of predictive grades or the traditional exam, Mary has this update ⇓
