McSweeney House, Cabhrú

Following concerns raised by Mary and other Dublin City Councillors regarding Cabhrú’s management of the senior citizen housing on at McSweeney House on Berkley St, it has been decided that Dublin City Council will take possession of the property.

Cabhrú (also known as CHAS) will surrender the property immediately and Dublin City Council will seek approval and funding from Government to redevelop the site in accordance with the already granted planning permission for 35 units.

Mary welcomed the decision.
