Moore Street

For more than a decade, Mary has supported the restoration of the National Monument at 14-17 Moore Street. Finally, the OPW has appointed Ralph Applebaum Associate to the project for a commemaortive centre at the site.

The appointment of RAA is absolutely excellent news for the national monument and a commemorative centre on Moore Street. The national monument played an important role in the birth of our Republic as the location where the last surrender took place in 1916. It is an incredibly important location, historically, socially and culturally to us all and to our Republic. This will rejuavante Moore Street and commemorate the heroes of 1916 and their fight for the freedom and independence that we all enjoy today.

Mary will continue to follow the progress of the project closely and will proivde any updates.
