Moore Street

For more than a decade Mary has supported the Moore Street traders and the campaign led by relatives of 1916 Leaders for restoration of the National Monument and battlefield site on Moore street.

Mary worked with City Councillors, relatives of the 1916 Leaders, Moore street traders and Dublin City Council officials to produce the Moore Street Advisory Committee Report 2013.

It is shameful that our Government fell over itself to commemorate the centenary of 1916 yet has failed to make a commitment to the restoration and commemoration of the National Monument and battlefield site.

Mary will, if elected to Dublin City Council, call for the Minister to come before the City Council to explain Governments inaction and agree a way forward.
