O’Connell Street Garda Station

We all want to feel safe where we live and work. The opening of a new Garda Station on O’Connell Street will ensure that our community and area is stronger and safer.

Mary was pleased to secure the re-opening of Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station and the opening of this new Garda station is another significant step forward for community safety in Dublin Central. The Garda Station will put an emphasis on community engagement and ensure that O’Connell Street and the surrounding areas have a high visibility presence of An Garda Síochána.

The station will also host a tourist information office which helps tourists who may be victims of crime. Local residents and visitors alike can feel more secure knowing that there is a strong, responsive Garda presence in the heart of our city.
