As a former pupil of Our Lady Help of Christians Girls National School on the Navan Road, Mary was honoured to be invited by the school community to join their 50th anniversary celebrations.
In June with permission from the OPW the girls from the student’s council, teachers, parents and Mary planted a tree in the Phoenix Park at the site of the original school.
Mary congratulated all involved over the last fifty years providing education to girls in our community and for setting such a strong example for the future.
