Phibsborough Post Office

Further to Mary’s representations to An Post regarding the Phibsborough Post Office, Mary has been informed by An Post that the Phibsborough office will become a Postmaster run office. Postmasters are independent small and medium-sized enterprises contracted by An Post to run Post Offices.

An Post have told Mary that this change will not affect the range or extent of services offered and that the same level of services will still be offered to customers. An Post are currently in consultation with staff. Staff employed at the post will take up a number of possible positions, including being redeployed within the An Post network or taking up employment with the new Postmaster. Once thie consultation is over, a tender for a new Postmaster will be advertised. An Post have said that it is likely that a new location within Phibsborough for the Post Office will be sought by the postmaster.

Mary will continue to provide updates on the Phibsborough Post Office.
