BusConnects, Blanchardstown CBC

On September 10th, 2019 Mary attended the Blanchardstown CBC Community Forum organized by the NTA.  You can see the full presentation HERE.

There was a relatively small attendance at the meeting, certainly no more than 100 people from an area with a population of more than 10,000.  Mary asked the NTA to relax their restriction of allowing only one person from each residents group attend so that the forums can be more representative.

Mary also asked the NTA to introduce mitigating measures to ensure traffic congestion is not displaced onto surrounding residential roads, to progress out of town Park & Ride, to introduce free or greatly reduced fares and time-based road closures.

Half Way House Proposal

The NTA responded positively to Mary’s suggestions and committed to explore each of them.

The next stage of public consultation will take place before the end of the year.
