BusConnects, Ballymun & Finglas CBC

On September 19th, 2019 Mary attended the Ballymun and Finglas CBC Community Forum organized by the NTA.  You can see the full presentation HERE.

There were no more than 50 people in attendance at the meeting from an area with a population of more than 10,000.  To encourage increased attendance Mary asked the NTA to relax their restriction of allowing only one person from each residents group attend so that the forums can be more representative.

St Mobhi Road Proposal

With regards to the Ballymun CBC Mark asked the NTA to meet with residents of Botanic Road, Glasnevin Hill and Ballymun Road and to introduce mitigating measures so the traffic congestion is not displaced there.  Mary called on the NTA to review their design for Phibsborough Village to provide cycle access in and through the village not just around the village as is proposed in the current plan.

Mary asked the NTA to progress out of town Park & Ride, to introduce free or greatly reduced fares and time-based road closures.

The NTA responded positively to Mary’s suggestions and committed to explore each of them.

The next stage of public consultation will take place before the end of the year.
