Innovation Park

An application for permission to build a Strategic Housing Development of 336 residential apartments at 128-130 East Wall Road, Dublin 3 has been made to An Bord Pleanala. 

The developpers outlined their intention as follows:

“EWR Innovation Park Limited intend to apply to An Bord Pleanála for permission for a strategic housing development at Docklands Innovation Park, 128-130 East Wall Road, Dublin 3. The site is bound to the north by East Wall Road, to the south by residential development at Island Quay, to the west by the Beckett Building and to the east by Merchants Road.

Full details of the application are available HERE, but the proposed development will involve the demolition of some of the existing light industrial / commercial units on the site, retention of others and construction of 336 residential apartment units comprising of:

  • 161 x 1 bed units, 171 x 2 bed units and 4 x 3 bed units
  • in 6 blocks ranging in height from 4 to 10 storeys over basement level
  • landscaping works on public open space including children’s play area
  • 195 car parking spaces and 420 bicycle parking spaces at basement and surface level

The last date for submissions from the general public to An Bord Plenala is April 6, 2020.  

DCC planners will present the proposal at the April 2020 meeting of the the Central Area committee at which Mary will make a detailed submission. The Central Area committee meeting will be webcast live HERE (currently scheduled for 14th April 2020).
