Iona & Norfolk Road trees

14.09.2010: Mary has asked Dublin City Manager when the trees in the Iona area and Norfolk Road in Phibsborough will be pruned?

Response: Due to current financial constraints tree pruning in the Central Area is undertaken on a priority basis. The street trees in the Iona area are mature London Plane and are considered to be in need of pruning. The street Trees on Norfolk Road are mature Hornbeam and are not considered to be in need of immediate pruning. The street tree pruning programme for 2010 s now complete and there is no additional funding to carry out extra work. Accordingly the street trees in the Iona area have been listed for pruning in 2011 subject to the appropriate funding been made available in 2011. Contact: Mark Jones, Parks Division Tel: 222 3701
