Moore Street

Mary chaired the second meeting of the Lord Mayors Forum on Moore Street in City Hall on November 4th 2019, draft minutes HERE.

Mary welcomed the update from Dublin City Council that two new traders will commence on the Street and a third applicant is being processed.

The Lord Mayors Forum has been tasked by Dublin City Council to establish an Expert Group to “define the future of street trading on Moore Street.”

The forum agreed to advertise in national newspaper, www.dublincity.ie and other social media channels its intention to establish an “Expert Group” to define the future of street trading on Moore Street. Click HERE to see the notice from DCC. Expressions of interest need to be with the Licensing Unit, Ground Floor, Block 4, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8 by 9th December 2019.

Mary has written to Moore Street Traders inviting them to participate in the “Expert Group”. See the letter HERE.

Mary shared the disappointment and frustration of other members of the Lord Mayors Forum on Moore Street that Hammersons the developers of the Carlton Site declined the Forums invite to present their plans to the Lord Mayors Forum.

Planning enforcement issues on the street were noted and referred to DCC’s planning department.

The next meeting of the Lord Mayors Forum will take place in City Hall on 27th January 2020. Please contact Mary if you would like to attend.
