New Pay & Display Rules

If you live on a road with Pay & Display parking you will be interested to know that Dublin City Councils Traffic Department have proposed a number changes to the “Parking control bye-laws” – these are the bye laws that define how Pay & Display works in the city. Among many changes, they are proposing to increase the standard residential permit charge from €40 to €50 for a 1 year permit and from €70 to €80 for a 2 year permit, to limit the number of new residential permits in some areas to two and to allow non-resident carers apply for permits.

A Briefing Note on the proposed Bye-Laws may be inspected during normal office hours over the period Monday 17th January to Friday 18th February 2011 inclusive at the offices of the Roads & Traffic Department, Floor 6, Block 2, Civic Offices, Fishamble Street, Dublin 8.  Copies of the Briefing Note, the draft Bye-Laws and the current Bye-Laws are available free of charge from this office, telephone (01) 222 2232 or on the web at www.dublincity.ie.

Submissions must be made in writing to Mr. Tim O’Sullivan, Executive Manager, Roads & Traffic Department at the above address or by email to traffic@dublincity.ie before 4.30pm on Friday 4th March 2011. The deadline for submissions is Friday 4th March.  Feel free to copy me on your submission.
