O’Devaney Gardens

Construction of more than 1,000 homes has started at the redevelopment of O’Devaney Gardens. The first phase of the project has finished with 56 new homes delivered and residents have already moved in. The second phase will see 1,044 new homes constructed.

The mix of social, affordable and private homes are A energy rated and are built to the highest standard. The first homes are due to be completed by the end of next year. The second phase of the redevelopment will consist of 240 houses, and 613 apartments and duplex units.

This is great news for our City and will provide much needed homes to families and individuals. Mary has long campaigned for the commencement of works at the site and she is thrilled to finally see it begin. The project will be one of the most sustainable developments in Europe and will provide residents with top quality facilities and social amenities along with a local apprenticeship and employment clause.
