The annual Pride festival has grown to become the largest demonstration and celebration for equality and the acceptance of diversity in our society.

Mary was delighted to be invited to walk in the parade with her Fianna Fáil colleagues, celebrating Ireland at it’s best.

It was fitting that during Pride month the “father of the house” and civil right’s activist Senator David Norris was honoured to be the first member of the house to have his portrait hung in Leinster House. Mary joined him to celebrate this important recognition of his work over his lifetime.
