As Fianna Fáil Spokesperson for Dublin I am working with Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan to make Dublin safer.
Following unanimous support for my motion, calling for an out-right ban of scramblers at the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party, Government have announced Graces Law will be enacted.
Graces Law will ban scramblers from use in all public spaces and make our communties safer for all.
Grace’s Law will :
- Ban scramblers in all public places
- Give Gardaí stronger powers to seize vehicles and prevent them returning to the roads
- Increase fines for seized vehicles to discourage illegal use
- Off‑road use on private land, with permission and used safely, will remain legal.
Grace’s Law is designed to make public spaces safer and support Gardaí to tackle illegal scrambler use.
