Stoneybatter Greening, update

Following on form Dublin City Council workshops with residents and local businesses, DCC has issued a draft plan for the greening of Stoneybatter.

Over a period of eight months, DCC Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services, public-realm designers Urban Agency and ecologist Mary Tubridy ran a codesign process to work with local residents to collectively develop a vision and strategy for a greener Stoneybatter.

This report sets out the conclusion of this collaboration which engaged 250+ participants and has identified 42 firm ideas for the greening of Stoneybatter.

The draft plan does not include every idea but it does form the basis further discussion and the opportunity to gain more feedback and buy-in.

DCC intends to use the Stoneybatter Greening Strategy to apply for funding to deliver on the identified greening initiatives over the course of the next 3-5 years.
