Mary has recieved an update from the Minister on the vaccine rollout.
The vaccination of those aged 85 and older started on Monday 15th of February, with 20,000 mRNA doses scheduled to be delivered this week as part of the roll-out to those aged 85 and older. It will be double that in following weeks. Vaccination of frontline healthcare workers and those in long-term residential facilities continues in parallel.
The HSE has announced it aims to vaccinate 110,000 people next week, up from 80,000 people this week.
The HSE also launched the vaccinators recruitment campaign – specifically recruiting nurses, midwives, doctors, physiotherapists, pharmacists, EMTs, paramedics etc. Information here
