Government has launched the National Biodiversity Action Plan 2023-2030. The plan seeks to restore and protect nature right across the country by committing to

• Expanding and enhancing our network of National Parks

• Further strengthening action on wildlife crime

• Delivering on obligations to conserve our most precious habitats and species

• Strategically targeting invasive species

• Developing a national Nature Restoration Plan

It is the first National Biodiversity Action Plan that is underpinned by legislation and funding. We must protect our biodiversity now so that we and future generations can continue enjoy Ireland’s natural beauty. To view the full plan, click HERE.
