Cleaner Dublin Central

As a Dublin City Councillor 2004-2014 Mary supported environmental improvements, opposed the privatisation of domestic bin collections and abolition of the waiver for low income households in Dublin Central.

Since the privatisation of domestic bin collections and abolition of the low income household waiver in 2012 Dublin Central is persistently recorded as a litter blackspot in national reports.

Near FM recently interviewed Mary about the fact that Dublin Central is persistently identified as a litter black spot in independent national reports.

Mary shared her suggestions on what should be done to tackle the problem so residents, workers and visitors to Dublin Central can enjoy a cleaner environment.
