Mary Fitzpatrick is acutely aware of the Governments failure to provide for the housing needs of the people of Dublin Central. Mary actively supports people in need of housing and campaigns for an accelerated house building programme, affordable housing scheme and refurbishment scheme for Dublin Central. Mary recently joined Donie on nearFM’s Northside Today programme to discuss the Simon Community “Locked-out of the market” report which confirms that people in Dublin Central are locked out of the property market, 90% increases in rent since 2010 and her ideas to solve the housing crises in Dublin Central. I was proud to represent the Oireachtas Committee for Enterprise, Tourism and employment on our recent delegation to Japan. For almost 70 years Ireland has enjoyed strong diplomatic relations with Japan. Ireland opened it’s first embassy in Tokyo in 1974 In 2025 Ireland renewed and strengthened its presence in Japan
