First Day of Seanad Spring Term

Spring 2026 session in the Seanad is going to be busy.

As Fianna Fáil Deputy Leader in the Seanad and spokesperson for Dublin, Local Government and Heritage my focus will be on legislation that directly impacts Dublin and local democracy — the Local Government, the Planning and Development and the Residential Tenancies Bill all going to help shape how our city grows and how councillors can deliver for communities.

I’ll be working on Dublin focused legislation including the Dublin Airport Capacity Bill, the Dublin Transport Authority Bill, and the MetroLink Bill to secure better connectivity and transport delivery in the capital.

From a Heritage perspective I will continue to champion Moore St National Monument, Mountjoy Square and our rich heritage in all its forms.

On the drugs committee I will be working for a comprehensive health led response to addiction and drugs.

On the enterprise committee I will be working to support innovation, employment and tourism.
